My Best Movie "Buhari"
A few days ago, I saw a Nepali film named “buhari” which
means daughter-in-law. The film was very interesting, humorous and ironical as
well. The main characters of the film were Shree Krishna Shrestha, Jal Shah,
Sunil Thapa, Nir Shah and so on. There was a great crowd of people in
Bishwajyoti cinema hall to watch the film. The songs of the film were
interesting, famous and heart touching. A great humour was created in the film
by the female roles played by Shree Krishna and Sunil Thapa. No one could help
laughing when Shree Krishna and Sunil Thapa were in sarees and blouses who
danced just like beautiful ladies. The characters of the film impressed the
audience by their real and lively acting.
The story of the film based on the social problem deeply
rooted in Nepalese society. In our society, the daughters-in law have to face
many problems. They are usually neglected and suppressed by father-in-law and
mother-in-law. If the daughter-in-laws can’t bring a lot of dowry, they are
suffered and insulted in the family and the society. In the film “Buhari”, Jal
Shah was not accepted as daughter-in-law as she was the daughter of poor man. As
a result, she had to face many difficulties. Though she gave birth to the son
of Shree Krishna, he did not accept her as his wife in the beginning but at
last the hero and his father realized their mistake. Then there was a happy
reunion of the hero and heroine. The film satires the norms and values of the Nepalese
society, which suppress the rights, freedom, happiness and prestige of
daughters-in-law. There is less violence in the film. The dialogues, actions,
music, dressing of the film are very much convincing attractive and realistic.
